Jungr and Parker
Jungr and Parker was a highly acclaimed British alternative cabaret and musical duo composed of chanson singer Barb Jungr and blues guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Michael Parker. Active from 1984 to 1997, they became staples of the international live circuit, television, and radio. • Julian Clary Partnership: Jungr and Parker formed a tight artistic bond with comedian Julian Clary. They regularly appeared as the house band on his cult-favourite UK television game shows, including Sticky Moments and Terry and Julian. • Alexei Sayle: The duo also widened their audience by completing two national tours as the opening act for comedian Alexei Sayle. • Radio Stars: They starred in their own dedicated BBC Radio 2 series and were frequent performers on various live variety programmes.
