Stand-Up
Jimmy McGhie
Jimmy McGhie is a top-tier UK circuit headline act renowned for his easy charm, appealingly relaxed stage manner, and razor-sharp, satirical crowd work. Combining an effortlessly likeable disposition with a brilliantly world-weary persona, he effortlessly delivers a masterclass in stand-up comedy. Before diving full-time into stand-up in 2009, Jimmy spent seven years behind the camera as an Assistant Producer for the BBC's Science and History department. Today, he is a premier international live performer and one of the most reliable, highly sought-after headliners in the industry. Jimmy specialises in high-energy, middle-class satire paired with relatable, contemporary storytelling. He builds hilarious routines out of his own cynicism toward modern life, masterfully poking fun at everything from hipster cafes and social media obsessions to the realities of turning 40. His impeccable timing and natural rapport mean every audience leaves feeling like they've spent the evening chatting with an old friend.
